Jute is coarser and more open, so a little more light passes through the weave and picks up warmth on the way. Mixing them means the three shades don't read as identical, and the light has some depth to it instead of coming from one flat source.

For a mark on the linen, dab with a barely damp cloth and let it air dry rather than scrubbing. The jute weave catches more dust, so a soft brush helps. No cleaning sprays.
